Hoppers with sliding crusher | Sraml

Hoppers with sliding crusher

Designed to facilitate the press-filling operation, the hopper–crusher unit fills the press directly by receiving the grapes from tipping containers without scattering or damaging the fruit while allowing for the clusters or berries to be crushed in order to release the juice and pulp before pressing.

The SRAML range of loading hoppers with the crushing unit, whose sliding system allows the hopper to be used without the operating crusher, enables the winemaker to fill the press quickly and without scattering when using small boxes or forklift-turning containers. Since the grapes are fed directly to the press, no pump is needed which minimizes damage to the berries, greatly enhancing the quality of wine.

When adding the crushing operation, berries or clusters are squeezed gently between two rubber rollers that can be adjusted to the size of the clusters to avoid grinding of the stems, berry skins or seeds.

  • Adjustable distance between the rollers from 2 to 10 mm
  • The hopper can be used without the crusher
  • The construction mounted on braked swivel casters is easy to move around the winery and sanitize after use
  • Easy access to the interior and surrounding equipment for efficient cleaning and maintenance

“ The SRAML press is tailored to my needs and designed to function seamlessly.”

“Pneumatic presses with inert gas enable a constant flow of nitrogen during the pressing process, protecting the wine against oxidation. We are practically neighbours and it was our winery who bought the first SRAML press. It must be an excellent product line to have lasted this long.Samo Premrn, Owner of Pasji rep Wines, Slovenia
