SRAML single-head capper offers a “direct pick” system that picks up pre-threaded plastic screw caps and applies them to multiple glass or PET bottles at the same time in a continuous, non-stop motion, which makes them extremely efficient and ideal for very large-scale manufacturing lines.

Thanks to the magnetic clutch control in the capping heads, the PK capper applies just the perfect amount of pressure and twisting force for the perfect seal and ultimate protection of your bottled product.

Method of operation – Pick & place capping of pre-threaded caps:

Caps are loaded in the vibrating hopper – feeder, where are correctly positioned and distributed, into the towing shoe, where are being picked up by swiveling arm. The arm is swiveling between the towing shoe, and capping head, bringing the cap to the position, where can be picked by the capping head. The cap can be picked with the cap chuck or cap pincer, depending on the cap shape.

Filled bottles are transported through the capping unit, with the help of a star-wheel, in a smooth step motion. When bottle is on the capping position, the rotating head with the cap will descend onto them and begin the cap application process. The cap will be applied with the desired torque, provided by the magnetic clutch on the capping head. Bottle anti rotation device can be with the help of toother neck collars for PET bottles, or mechanical bottle body clamp, for glass bottles, or plastic bottles without neck ring. Capped bottles are transported from the turret with the help of a same star wheel. The capper is equipped with “no bottle no cap system”, the cap is not feed to the capping head, if bottle is not present. All the components’ motions are cam operated, allowing repeatability of corking process on all the bottles.
