Manufactured entirely in stainless steel, the single-head crown capper CX applies crown caps on glass or aluminium bottles by deforming the cap on the bottle neck to clamp together tightly. Composed of a single capping station placed above the star-wheel which feeds the bottles through the capper, the unit provides extreme accuracy and guarantees the perfect closure of the cap.

Method of operation:

Caps are loaded in the vibrating hopper – feeder, where are correctly positioned, and distributed through the feeding chute in the closing head with the closing cone, of the capping station. Cap is being centered with the closing cone and waits for the bottle. Filled bottles are transported through the capping unit, with the help of a star-wheel, in a smooth step motion. When bottle is under the capping unit, the closing head with cap will descent to the bottle. The bottle neck will push the cap up in the closing cone, and will deform the cap so, that will clamp the bottle neck. Capping head will lift, and bottle is transported from the turret with the help of a same star wheel. All the components’ motions are cam operated, allowing repeatability of capping process on all the bottles.
