With a high demand for easy-to-open packaged products such as packaged food and canned beverages, there is also the need for the most advanced can seaming technology. High efficiency, flexibility and optimized performance makes SRAML automated can sealing technology the most refined technical solution — a safe value for your canning line, whether we are talking small canneries, multi-national companies and large-scale manufacturers. SRAML can seamer machine hermetically seals a lid to a can body during the packaging process using a double or even triple leak-proof seam. The lid is typically made from tin-plated steel while the can’s body can be made of paper (whiskey cans), tin, aluminium, PET, plastic, or glass. SRAML can sealer is available as a canning station with a single seaming head and different speeds, depending on your production demands.

Method of operation  – Can seaming operation:

Filled cans are directly transported from the fillers star-wheels into seamer scroll. The scroll transports the bottles trough the seaming unit. The distance between filling and seaming is as short as possible allowing minimal oxygen pick up, or product cooling on hot filling before being closed. The cap transporting method with scroll ensures a continued flow of the cans through the seamer, without sudden movements, which could result in liquid spilling. The lids are feed in the lid shut, by a pneumatic separator-feeder, and are positioned in a towing shoe and directly picked up by the cans. Can with lid is transported under the spinning chuck and is being lifted, with the help of mechanical can lifter. The spinning chuck will spin the can and the seaming process will begin. The first roller will make the 1st step of the seaming process and second will finalize the seam. After the seaming is completed, the can lifter will descent and the can will be transported out of the seamer with the help of the same scroll. All the components’ motions are cam operated, allowing repeatability of seaming process on all the cans.
