Apple City Cider is the first dedicated craft cidery in Kazakhstan. In 2018, they decided to invest in a custom pressing solution to press all the apples as efficiently as possible. SRAML juice extraction line with a specially designed enzyme dosing system of its VP44 Press passed with flying colours.

Their Challenge
As the birthplace of the apple, Kazakhstan is home to a wide range of different apple varieties, including over 40 subvarieties of Siversii. All these apples vary greatly in their properties and in 2018, our customer decided to invest in a press capable of pressing them all efficiently, which, however, ruled out a belt press. While able to press greater volumes and being easier to clean, it may well cause problems with apples containing large amounts of pectin.
Our Solution
Apple City Cider reached out to us, in addition to other processing equipment manufacturers. We immediately got down to business and carefully planned every single detail to find the perfect solution for these two remarkable craft cider makers to be able to represent the home of apples in all its glory. SRAML VP44 Press integral to their juice extraction line saved the day thanks to its batch process and enzyme dosing system. With the VP44 Doser adding pectinase to break down pectin or amylase to break down starch, for that matter, SRAML VP44 Press successfully clears the cider of pectin, improving both juice quality and yield capacity.
