About the Company

Hawkes Cider Ltd (Brewdog PLC) are urban cidermakers in the heart of London using unloved apples and SRAML cidermaking equipment to make a variety of cider products.

“Two worlds collide in our classic medium dry cider made from a unique blend of London-pressed country apples. Crafted to deliver a smooth and harmonious body with a complex and rich texture on the palate, all complemented by a crisp, dry wine-like finale.”

As the first of their kind in London, these “saviours of cider” are on a mission to “truly explore and push the boundaries of modern cider making in a unique and challenging environment” and we are glad we had the opportunity to join them on their mission and save the day with the SRAML cider equipment.

Their Challenge

In 2020, Hawkes Cider needed to upgrade their production to achieve greater juicing capacity due to increasing demand while maintaining the quality of juice pressed and fermented on-site.

Within the full range of SRAML apple processing equipment and a complete cider production line, Hawkes Cider opted for the SRAML belt press allowing them to press three tons of apples per hour as well as screw pump, grating mill, elevator belt and hopper.
